Winter Break - Thursday December 25th

HAPPY HOLIDAYS / MERRY CHRISTMAS. Sorry it has taken so long for me to update the blog for the vacation, Family, etc always grabs time :) So the points board has been zeroed so everyone has a fresh start for the holidays. The winter vacation winner will be the individual who has the most points by Sunday January 4th. There will be prizes!!!!

There is a new scoring system explained as a comment to this post :)

CONGRATULATIONS TO: Abhi (for winning so far), Issac (for 2nd place and rowing 100,000 metres) and me (for 3rd place).

I am going to leave the workouts open because I am not sure who has access to what gear over break. I know I don't have access to an erg. This means you should score your workouts by the points table. There will still be a post for each day so you can comment your workouts in to get points. If you need help thinking of workouts look through all the comments and previous workout posts!

ALSO!! If you have some extra time and want to write a guest column for a day let me know. You could write a story about a workout, post some information about your diet, write about a great sports book you have read, it can be pretty much anything sports related. Sent me what you would like to post, and I will make it the main post for one of the days over break!!!

Any questions, write them as comments or send me an email.

In order to maximize participation and happiness, the points system is now going to be both weekly and accumulative. It will be scored the same weekly so that everyone has a fair chance each week of getting to the top.

The accumulative scoring will work as such:
Count the number of people who have points for the week (say 10 people have made it onto the board for that week). The person who has the most points gets 10 pts on the accumulative board. The person with the second most points gets 9 points on the accumulative board. So on and so on until the person with the least points gets 1 points on the accumulative board.

This encourages people to try and win a given week because they will get recognition and the most points to the accumulative board. It also encourages participation because the more people who are on the points board, the more points that are available. VETERAN ROWERS, this means we have to get more rowers using the blog :)
